Psalm 51: 17
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
If only every cleansing was as easy as washing your clothes😁
Easy and yet, when you are traveling with your backpack and sleeping in filthy dorms on beds where GOD only knows when the sheets have last been changed, then, washing ALL your clothes including sleeping bag and inliner, changes your entire experience!
You could say it is life changing indeed!
So much value for only a few coins!
I feel cleaner than ever before.
In so many ways.
As if some old gunk and slime and goo and filth had been washed away. Some old memories, which kept haunting me ever since I got here and started walking… JESUS is the great washer, the divine lavanderia, of course – no need to mention that it is HE who washed it all away.
As if I had come here to go through these past traumas again, while walking for and with HIM, in constant PAIN – just like when I did this huge fast, suffering with THE LORD, for HIS glory, seems to be the only way to become pure, purged, cleansed.
Today feels light.
I feel closer to HIM and to HIS glory than I ever have.
Thank you, LORD, for showing me a way to get rid of things which have burdened me for SO long!
I am infinitely grateful for YOUR mercy and for YOUR guidance through THE HOLY SPIRIT, which let me come here and do this walk.
Now that I have found this, I am glad that there is so much of the way still ahead of me, and I am looking forward to going through the hardships in YOUR name and for YOUR glory, LORD, and I thank you again for always walking with me, listening to me, loving me, never once for one second leaving my side!
I am grateful, LORD, and I praise YOU! Without YOU, I am nothing and I can do nothing and I have nowhere to go, unless YOU will come with me! Thank you for your help, your guidance, your wisdom and for your endless love!!!
This got me thinking… I would love to be able to have some kind of thing I could do after this walk is over… I mean, I start every day with reading 1 or 2 chapters of the bible and spending some quiet time with THE LORD, listening and asking HIM what’s on my mind and in my heart.
But this is different – HE really seems to like it when one is devoting one’s entire day to HIM.
Must be possible to do this at home while in your regular life, too, while working, while spending your free time… it is probably easier here when there is nothing else to do and when this is the only reason to have come here… at home, it is more likely to get caught up in other “stuff”, I guess, and forget about GOD… well, I have plenty of time left to come up with something and to pray that HE will show me what will find favor in HIS sight, how to sanctify my everyday life back at home…
How do you do it, my friend?
Have you got any tips you can share? How do you devote all you do, all your days and nights to JESUS?
As usual, I hope and pray that some of this would heal, inspire or amuse you. And that THE LORD may bless you richly in all areas of your life, that HE may keep you and shine HIS face upon you. In JESUS‘ name I pray. Amen.
